Diving, snorkeling, excursions to the islands of course... but also kite surfing, cooking lessons, horse riding and many more. Vilanculos offers a good variety of activities to discover the beauties of our landscapes, African culture or simply relax. We hope you'll enjoy them. Diving & snorkelling
Odyssea Dive - next door - will take you out to explore our beautiful reefs. Non divers can give it a try with a quick course - Discover Scuba Dive -, enroll for the Open Water Course or simply join divers for a beautiful day of rest on Bazaruto and snorkeling on Two Mile Reef. As our guests, you get a 10% discount on the trips and the courses. We can also teach you how to dive.
Kite surfing
The bay is the perfect spot to learn how to kite or improve your skills. Our on-site school offers packages of 3 to 6 hours for beginners and rents gear.
SUP & Kayak
We have paddle boards and kayaks available free of charge for you. A fantastic way to explore the bay.
Fitness
We can organize Pilates and Yoga classes on site. A good way to relax and keep fit enjoying the beautiful views of our bay.
Otherwise, gym classes are opened to the public at Bahia Mar – ask us for the schedule
Sail on a Dhow
These local fishing boats will take you to Magaruque, where you will enjoy nice walks around the island, good snorkelling on the house reef and a fantastic lunch on the beach.
Horse Riding
Whether you are an experienced rider or have never been on a horse, Pat and Mandy from Mozambique Horse Safaris will find the perfect horse. They offer different kinds of rides to suit all your desires.
Canoe on the Guvuro Rivers
A nice way to explore the inland and do a bit of birdwatching. Try it at sunset for the fireflies!
Scenic flights, deep sea fishing, whale watching (in season)

Bird Watching
Try an early wake up to explore the inland of Vilanculos and go in search of birds.
Town Tour
A 3 to 5 hours walk in town to explore the village, the market, visit the school or any other place you’re interested in. You will meet Vilanculos’ inhabitants, as if you were one of them for an informal chat. The best way to experience Mozambique from the inside!
Cooking Classes
With Zita, you can learn how to choose and buy the ingredients in the market and to prepare some of the local dishes (Matapa or Caril de Amendoim).
Massages & Beauty Treatments
Rosa is available to come to Casa Babi to treat you with a full body, head and shoulders or feet massage. Facials, pedicure, manicure are available.
Sunset on the Red Dune
On the northern side of Vilanculos, admire the sun setting over the bush, with a drinks, before joining us for a tasteful dinner.
